Did You Notice this in The Walking Dead?

I’m a huge fan of The Walking Dead. Last week’s episode, “Four Walls and a Roof” was one of the best ones in the show’s history. So far, this is my favorite season.

One thing I love about TV shows is the hints and other subtle things the writers and other creatives in the show hide in plain sight. Did anyone notice these signs on the wall in last week’s episode?

Those Bible verses are:

  • Romans 6:4
  • Ezekiel 37:7
  • Matthew 27:52
  • Revelations 9:6
  • Luke 2:45

And here’s what they say:

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.

and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.

During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.

When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him”

I know the last verse is Luke 2:45 (and not Luke 24:5) because of this screenshot from the episode’s behind the scenes featurette.

With that said, what do you think this means? What are these Bible verses trying to tell us? I want to hear your theories.
