Knowing Your Stuff

Continuing on my last post on confidence, one important thing about being confident went going for a job interview is to know your stuff. What do I mean by that? Obviously, you’re not always going to have experience for the job you’re applying for, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a general knowledge of the subject.

Sometimes, even just knowing a bit about the company’s history can go a long way. In our day and age, it’s not an excuse to not know something about a company or a position. Want to know what a graphic designers does? Just go online and you’ll find thousands of links with insights into this profession. The same can be said about nearly all professions.

Go online. Ask friends or family members with experience in your field of interest. Do your research. Be prepared and your chances of succeeding are very high. When you have information, you will feel confident.
