I’ve been a Miami Heat fan ever since I arrived at Florida in 1995. I remember Tim Hardaway, Dan Majerle, PJ Brown and of course, Alonzo Mourning. I also remember the 2006 Championship, when Dwayne Wade was the best player in the NBA. Of course, I also remember last year when Lebron James finally “proved” what everyone else already knew, that he is the best player in the world and one of the all-time greats (and he’s only 28). Last year was sweet, but this victory is even sweeter.
Winning back to back championships is a hard feat to accomplish, but the Miami Heat did it. Erik Spoelstra is an amazing coach who doesn’t get a lot of credit, but my hope is that this championship will change that. Winning three in a row is even harder, but if the team stays intact, I believe that the Heat can win a championship next year. For now, let us celebrate!!
We are the champions baby!!! Take that, haters!!
